Alan Vickers was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in the developing bedrock town of Beaumont, Texas. By age 8, he was a businessman working alongside the waste management industry. His company offered neighborhood residents a safe and proper delivery of their trashcan to the curb and secured its return to the garage after pickup. He offered a reliable service at fair prices (25 cents a week), continually ensuring customer satisfaction.
After a career working at his father’s oil & gas business, he made his way to Houston; the city of bright lights, booming industry and entrepreneurial opportunity. He began working in the moving sector gaining insight and experience. After 10 years of learning the industry, he decided to branch out on his own in 1994. With a humble crew and wealth of experience, the doors were open for business.
Much like his youthful entrepreneurial efforts, he founded Alan Vickers Moving on the same concept of integrity. Our company offers reliable service at fair prices, making sure everything is done to ensure your highest satisfaction. While we have added services, bought trucks and become web savvy, the face of Alan Vickers Moving has remained the same. We are still owner operated and have several of our dear employees who have been with us since day one.
